| Other Information | After the collision of the Imo and Mont Blanc, Stella Maris tried to tow the burning Mont Blanc away from Pier 6. When the Mont Blanc exploded, Stella Maris was severely damaged and sunk. Due to the heavy wartime demand for ships, the vessel was quickly salvaged, rebuilt and put back in service.
