| Other Information | Attempts were made to refloat the ship but they failed. Eventually most of the wreck was cut up and removed by salvors. The propeller can still be seen underwater just off shore. Coastal cliffs in the area exceed 100' in height. Land access to the wreck site would require a 2-hour walk through woods from the nearest road. This information was provided by Bob MacDougall of Donkin and Frank Boutlier of South Head. Mr. Boutlier's father witnessed the wreck back in 1942. |
